Long time Microsoft Dynamics CRM (and now Dynamics 365 customer experience apps) partner PowerObjects, an HCL Technologies company, announced that is adding an ERP practice to its traditional CRM offerings, with a goal of providing end-to-end services for Dynamics 365.
Last month, the company hired Carri Lesatz as its ERP practice director; she is a 10-year Dynamics AX veteran, first with a user company on Dynamics AX 4.0, then as a project manager with mcaConnect, a member of Wipfli’s AX leadership team, and finally with PowerObjects.
A company representative had previously hinted at this type of move into the ERP space. Senior VP Jim Sheehan told MSDynamicsWorld in March that the company was looking into applying the PowerObjects business model to an ERP practice. “I think I can go out and build a [Dynamics 365 for Operations] or AX practice with sort of the same vigor that we took over the CRM market,” he said.
Lesatz says her task is to “ensure that PowerObjects grows from being the leader in the CRM space to the leader in the Dynamics 365 space.”
Asked what qualifies PowerObjects to offer AX/ERP services, Lesatz described the company’s cloud experience with Dynamics CRM, “so we have a team of 350 employees who understand the ins and outs of deploying Dynamics 365 solutions from the cloud.” That, plus new hires, plus the in-house ERP knowledge of PowerObjects’ UK team, and finally the AX/ERP team of its parent company HCL Technologies in India, “and we will have vast experience to leverage for our clients.”
PowerObjects is actively hiring in the US, UK and India to support the new practice. Lesatz believes that, with all those initiatives and capabilities, “We can be the one-stop shop for all things Dynamics 365.”
