Real Dynamics meets aggressive schedule for ERP carve-out to support acquisition of Kofax, Inc. to venture firm Thoma Bravo

Real Dynamics, an independent advisory and consulting firm specializing in deploying Microsoft Dynamics AX and 365, has completed the deployment of a Dynamics AX-based solution to ensure the success of the complex acquisition of Kofax Inc. by venture firm Thoma Bravo.

The previous owner’s need to carve out its software business, Kofax Inc., required that both parties vet out the customers, contracts, and product lines belonging to the software business that were comingled with the hardware business in existing legal entities. These existing legal entities would remain with the hardware business.

Kofax tapped Real Dynamics because of its M&A experience and project methodology. Real Dynamics executed on a project plan to configure new and existing legal entities for Kofax Inc., develop business rules for ERP carve-out, and migrate the data, according to officials of the companies.

“At Real Dynamics, we have expertise in helping customers with acquisitions and carve-outs from, and to, the Dynamics AX platform,” said Yogesh Kasat, principal at Real Dynamics, in a statement. “Our customers benefit from our investments in tools and processes best suited for mergers and acquisition projects, covering: project management, solution and functional architecture, data conversion and reporting tools using the Microsoft technology platform.”

HSO supports Hotter’s growth plans with Microsoft Dynamics retail implementation

Hotter, a UK shoe maker, has selected Microsoft Dynamics AX to support its growth plans.

Hotter has brought in the Microsoft partner HSO to implement Dynamics AX and provide ongoing support. HSO is now rolling out Dynamics AX to drive efficiencies in the finance and supply chain processes for the footwear retailer, according to officials of the companies.

Hotter was looking for an end-to-end omni-channel retail solution that was flexible and scalable enough to support the company’s growth and Dynamics AX fit the bill perfectly, officials said.

Implementing Dynamics AX and working with HSO will enable Hotter to manage by exception rather than having to manage every element of the standard procedure, according to officials.

“Working with HSO and introducing the Microsoft Dynamics solution is central to our plans to underpin our growth and strengthen best practice across our business,” said Hotter CEO Sara Prowse in a statement.
