Microsoft Dynamics Project Manager
Company Overview: 15 year Development and Professional Services consulting organization with market leading I.P in the Higher Education, Healthcare, Professional Services and Manufacturing industries.
Microsoft Gold Partner and TAP(Technology Adoption Program) participating member for almost 10 years. Over 300 dedicated Product Developers and Functional Consultants across the US and abroad. Clients are spread across the United States and span multiple industry segments including Higher Education, Healthcare, Professional Services, Chemical Manufacturing and Oil &Gas.
NOTES:
Looking to grow their Microsoft Dynamics practice from approximately 35-40 dedicated employees based in the United States.
Currently heavily leveraged with Dynamics 365 F&O, but actively growing their Dynamics CE practice now. Expect the CRM side of the business to equal the ERP side of the business within the next 18 months, in part due to their collaborative development efforts with Microsoft for the Healthcare industry.
They are very, very deep on the technical side and get hired by Microsoft to build products that gets incorporated into MS products.
Looking for people that are interested and excited at the prospect of growing a practice and enjoy the opportunity to wear multiple hats and not do the same task day in and day out. Individuals need a degree of flexibility and high emotional intelligence.
Location: Virtual, can be based anywhere in the United States
Travel: 50% on average
Compensation: Depending on experience, ranging from $100-140k/yr base salary + benefits
Reporting: Will be reporting directly to the VP of Professional Services

Summary of Position:
The Project Manager will be a part of the PMO and lead/manage a team of Microsoft Dynamics Professionals.
The PM will have overall responsibility of a project’s deliverables, budget, resources,
The Project Manager will also work with other team members, customers, partners and sub-contractors, and the Sales team to ensure successful delivery to our customers.
The team will use problem-solving skills to develop and implement Dynamics business solutions for their customers.
They will be responsible for customer interactions, understanding the customer’s business and will participate in full life cycle implementation using their approved methodology.
The Project Manager will proactively look for ways to keep all time productive and will use non-customer time for management tasks, personal training and internal projects.
Project Management escalation duties on complex projects or on multiple projects (define service objectives by determining requirements, develop project plans, assembling and scheduling required service resources, defining service measurements, manage budget/actual and scope of work, approval of project-related T&E)
Ensure projects are forecasted appropriately
Assist in defining “best practices” in delivery, including templates, work plans, methodologies
Enhances practice’s and organization’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
Resolve project, customer and staff issues independently and with minimal escalation to Director-level
Lead customer meetings or facilitated strategy sessions, analyze processes and recommend improvements, particularly when a SME is required beyond the project team or on larger, complex projects
Customer Relationship Management
Ensure customer satisfaction
Establishes a network of relationships within a broad range of functions and levels in a customer organization; sustains executive and c-level customer relationship
Drives or assists in generating new leads or opportunities with existing customer base
Measures customer satisfaction throughout an engagement, specifically identifying ways in which a team can increase current levels of satisfaction
Ensures the customer's concerns and issues have been appropriately addressed
Puts customers interests first while considering the impact on team and project
Quality Assurance & Risk Management
Quality Assurance - Expected to identify and QA project efforts to ensure project decision/deliverables are sound; QA at a granular level, all medium and large size projects
Strive for continuous improvement of PMO methodologies
Scope projects and leverage solution architects to provide quality assurance of scope, assumptions and estimates
Minimum Requirements – Education, Skill & Abilities:
- • Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Engineering or Business
- • Minimum 5 years’ experience project management required
- • Minimum 5 years’ experience managing people
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- • Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- • Excellent time management and organizational skills
- • Valid Driver’s License required
- Preferred Requirements– Education, Skill & Abilities:
- • Experience managing large ERP projects with 1+ million dollar budgets
- • Managing large complex projects with ERP, CRM and other applications in scope
