Poll Results are In: Fears for 2026 – no real surprise to me
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and have made it safely back home during the latest snowmageddon to hit us in the Great Lakes and upper Midwest.
There was much debate in our family if we should cut our trip short and return early from TN, but I’m very thankful we held off and waited until Sunday to make the long drive back North as we enjoyed relatively smooth driving conditions until the very end.
On Monday I had started a poll asking about your fears going into the new year and was interested to see how a number of concerns, including the build up of AI in the workforce, was having in comparison with the overall stagnation of hiring and continued rounds of RIF’s that seem to be taking place on almost a weekly basis.
Well, the results are in and let’s just say we are all very concerned about the latter for sure! Below is a graph that highlights these poll results which really isn’t that surprising considering the types of calls I have been having on a weekly basis for the last 18 months now.
I don’t know what it is that needs to change, but I will be crossing my fingers and toes hoping that something does in fact change for all of our sakes going into 2026.
In the meantime, I will be keeping my head down working my tail off to generate new opportunities to recruit on and hopefully that will translate into good news for at least a few of you.
