NetSuite Next Rollout: Who Owns Your Transition?

NetSuite Next is rolling out in phases, and I think that matters more for hiring than most people realize.

Oracle has said it’s rolling out NetSuite Next to customers in phases, starting with release 2026.2.

Ask Oracle, the conversational assistant, is arriving first inside the existing interface, and accounts get an in-app notice when they become eligible.

As far as I can tell, there is no published general availability date.

Two companies on the same NetSuite release can be on very different timelines, because each account becomes eligible on its own schedule. That means every NetSuite customer needs someone to own the transition, and most haven’t named that person yet. I see this most with private equity portfolio companies.

An operating partner with several NetSuite companies is now managing several different rollouts at once. The strongest hedge I know is a NetSuite administrator or architect who understands both the current environment and where Oracle is taking it, and those people are already hard to find and even harder to get interested.

If a NetSuite transition is coming for you or one of your portfolio companies, decide who owns it before your account gets that notice, not after! If you are thinking through that hire, I would be glad to compare notes on what these roles cost and how long the searches are taking right now.
