2025 set the record for Microsoft Dynamics partner M&A. 2026 is carrying that pace forward.
That’s not momentum. That’s a structural repricing of the entire channel, and it’s changing what every partner firm and PE platform needs from their talent bench.
The Microsoft Dynamics channel has moved past experimentation. PE-backed platforms are executing real roll-up strategies, and mid-market Dynamics partners across Business Central, F&O, CE, and Power Platform are the primary targets.
A few things we’re seeing from the inside:
🔹 Vertical IP, advanced specializations, and genuine AI/Data capabilities are commanding real valuation premiums
🔹 Operator-led leadership teams are being installed with a clear mandate: deliver post-close integration
🔹 The deals are more deliberate now, less opportunistic; the goal is national and global Microsoft services platforms
🔹 Fewer one-off transactions, more platform strategies
What this means on the talent side, which is when I obviously pay the most attention.
For Microsoft Dynamics partner firms: this equates to sharper competition for senior delivery talent with higher bars around delivery maturity and scalability.
For PE operating partners, Dynamics is now a proven services investment thesis and they seem to be going “all-in”.
Revenue size matters, but talent depth and succession planning often matter more.
Post-close execution is the differentiator, and that’s a talent problem before it’s a process problem.
The channel is no longer just a technology market.
It has now become the combination of a technology, financial and talent market. The firms that win in 2026 will be the ones who can scale, integrate, and deliver.
