NetSuite Admitted AI Can Be Confidently Wrong. That Is Why Experts Matter More.

NetSuite announced industry-specific AI agents at SuiteWorld this week, and one press conference comment stood out to me more than the announcements themselves.

NetSuite’s leadership acknowledged that AI can produce confident answers that aren’t necessarily correct, and they pointed to business context and the expertise of their implementation partners as key to making these tools reliable.

I couldn’t agree more, and that’s why I keep saying agents make experienced ERP people more valuable, not less.

Here is where I think this is heading, on NetSuite and on Microsoft Dynamics 365 alike.

An agent can only act on the configuration, data, and process design someone built underneath it. Someone has to know what “right” looks like in a close process, an order-to-cash flow, or a purchasing approval, and that knowledge comes from years of seeing how these systems behave in real businesses.

That is why I believe the companies that get the most from AI agents will be the ones that hire seasoned functional consultants, architects, and admins who can configure, govern, and challenge what the agents produce, and they should start hiring now, before the agents go live.

If you are planning for that kind of talent on your NetSuite or Dynamics 365 team, I would love to compare notes on what I am seeing in the market, from compensation to how long these searches are taking. Message me anytime!
