Data Centres in the Netherlands and Ireland to Support Growing Number of European Companies Transforming Business with NetSuite

New Data Centres are 100% Powered by Renewable Energy Sources

LONDON, Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — NetSuite Inc. (NYSE: N), the industry’s leading provider of cloud-based financials / ERP and omnichannel commerce software suites, today announced the opening of two major data centre deployments in Europe, one in Amsterdam, Netherlands and the other in Dublin, Ireland. The two data centres will support NetSuite’s growth in Europe and meet the needs of the increasing number of European companies that are adopting NetSuite’s cloud business management platform to more efficiently manage and transform their businesses. Both data centres are expected to be operational this calendar year.

NetSuite’s EU data centres will enable companies to store their NetSuite business data physically in the European Union. This is especially significant given that the EU Court of Justice today declared the EU-US Safe Harbour framework invalid.

NetSuite Increases Strategic Investment in Europe to Meet Business Needs
NetSuite has a strong footprint and presence in Europe, and has an ongoing focus on strategic investments in the region and commitment to businesses across Europe. NetSuite demonstrated the importance of Europe to its growth strategy with the acquisition of UK cloud-based ecommerce pioneer Venda last year. Additionally, NetSuite’s OneWorld and SuiteCommerce solutions are ideally suited to power organizations needing to successfully navigate the highly complex multi-currency, multi-language and multi-tax requirements of the European market. By contrast, companies stuck using ageing, disparate and poorly integrated legacy on-premise solutions lack the flexibility a cloud solution like NetSuite offers and instead are struggling to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the European and international business arenas.

NetSuite is Committed to Sustainability
In addition to the energy efficiencies NetSuite’s multi-tenant technology model delivers, NetSuite is working with leading partners whose data centre operations are powered 100 percent by renewable energy in Europe.

Europe represents one of NetSuite’s largest growth opportunities,” said Zach Nelson, NetSuite CEO. “Our data centres in Amsterdam and Ireland are proof of our continued strong commitment to our European customers. Today’s news is a key part of our ongoing plan to bring more resources, focus, and investment to our European customers in the form of additional capacity, security and compliance with local data regulations. NetSuite has always had high standards for compliance and security and the European data centres will adhere to those standards.”

Today, more than 24,000 companies and subsidiaries depend on NetSuite to run complex, mission-critical business processes globally in the cloud. Since its inception in 1998, NetSuite has established itself as the leading provider of enterprise-ready cloud business management suites of enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and ecommerce applications for businesses of all sizes. Many FORTUNE 100 companies rely on NetSuite to accelerate innovation and business transformation. NetSuite continues its success in delivering the best cloud business management suites to businesses around the world, enabling them to lower IT costs significantly while increasing productivity, as the global adoption of the cloud accelerates.
