Bob Scott reporting in his weekly Insights column.

NetSuite has opened two new data centers in Europe, one in Dublin, Ireland, and the other in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The cloud software company said it had also selected Capgemini as its sole distributor in France. NetSuite said the two data centers will be completely powered by renewable energy and are expected to be operating by the end of the year. NetSuite said Capgemini would be its partner of choice in France. The consulting firm’s sales team will focus on sales there via a dedicated entity while NetSuite will provide sales enablement and implementation training. This deal comes on the heels of Capgemini’s alliance with Unit4, in which the latter’s financial software applications are being added to Capgemini’s BPO as a Stack offerings. Capgemini describes BPO as a Stack as its Business Process as a Service systems, an assemble-to-order” platform, comprised by an integrated mix of layers including services, processes, applications and infrastructure. Unit4 will also be working with Capgemini as a traditional systems integration partner.
