Enterprise AI had another big week and if you aren’t paying attention, you will be left behind!
Enterprise AI just had a big week, and if you are not paying attention, you are already behind.
Two stories out of TechCrunch this week that are worth paying attention to if you operate in the enterprise AI or PE/VC space.
Gumloop just closed a $50M Series B led by Benchmark to build what they’re calling an AI agent builder for every employee, not just engineers.
The thesis is simple: give non-technical workers the tools to automate complex, multistep workflows, and watch it compound across the entire organization.
Benchmark’s Everett Randle summed it up well, calling enterprise automation “the biggest category in enterprise AI.”
And sales automation startup Rox AI hit a $1.2B valuation on a round led by General Catalyst.
Their model deploys hundreds of AI agents inside a company’s existing tech stack, handling account monitoring, prospect research, and CRM updates autonomously.
Here is what stands out to me from a talent and ERP perspective: both of these platforms depend on the same thing to actually work inside an enterprise, people who understand the systems they are plugging into.
Dynamics 365. NetSuite. Salesforce. Zendesk. The AI layer is only as effective as the foundation underneath it.
That is exactly why skilled ERP professionals are not being replaced by these tools. They are becoming more valuable because of them.
