Gravity Software Releases Revenue Recognition Module
Gravity Software, provider of a mid-market accounting software written on the Microsoft Dynamics platform, has released its Revenue Recognition module.
The new module lets companies appropriately recognize revenue and expenses in the period it is earned in accordance with new standards from the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), said the company in a statement.
Gravity’s Revenue Recognition module makes it easier for companies to calculate the correct revenue in each period. After the initial setup, customers need only post their invoices as they normally would, and post the Revenue Recognition entries once a month, describes Gravity Software.
“We have designed Revenue Recognition to handle the complex issues related to managing the recognition process, but have kept it easy to implement and use,” said Randall Ykema, chief technology officer for Gravity, in a statement.
