eBECS Joins CafeX Partner Program to Deliver Advanced Omnichannel Solution
CafeX Communications, a supplier of mobile and web engagement solutions, has announced that eBECS, a Microsoft Business Solutions implementation partner, is now a strategic partner in the CafeX Live Assist for Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner program.
The program allows eBECS to deliver omnichannel capabilities and services through Dynamics 365/CRM Now eBECS can offer its customers digital engagement capabilities that improve customer service levels, enhance agent productivity and increase online sales, according to company officials.
The CafeX partner program, designed for qualifying Microsoft Dynamics 365 partners, provides comprehensive tools and support to drive sales through live chat, co-browsing and other personalized customer assistance solutions within the Dynamics 365, officials stated.

Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific’s PORTS Solution to help New Zealand’s Largest Import Port and Premier Cruise Port Automate Billing Processes
Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. has announced its latest Microsoft Dynamics-based PORTS (Port Operating and Revenue Tracking System) Solution customer, Ports of Auckland. The billing solution will ostensibly increase productivity with a single platform that is able to manage and support billing and invoicing of container business, breakbulk cargo, marine charges, property, freight hubs and other subsidiaries. Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific will also deploy its portal solution to provide self-service capability to the Ports of Auckland customers so they can view invoices and charges on the portal.
“It’s vital to our business that we continue to find ways that increase efficiency and add value to our customers; the solution will help do just that,” said Ports of Auckland Chief Executive Tony Gibson.
“Our main goal is to enable functionality that streamlines and automates the operation for Ports of Auckland so they can improve efficiency in their order to cash and billing processes and improve customer service,” said Sandeep Walia, President of Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific.
The solution improves efficiency, says Hitachi, by automating calculation of berthage, demurrage, container wharfage, vehicle wharfage, other bulk and break-bulk wharfage, and also by automating the billing to customers including utility billing.
InfoGrow Releases Dynamics 365/CRM Mobile Mapping Tool for iPhone
InfoGrow, a Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM developer, has released the iPhone version of its CRM SmartMap mobile mapping and sales call productivity tool.
CRM SmartMap is designed for field sales teams. In addition, it helps account managers visualize customer data and make better decisions about where to invest their limited time, according to company officials.
“CRM SmartMap is designed to generate at least one more appointment every week, for every member of the sales team,” said Bob Sullivan, president of InfoGrow, in a statement. “This additional activity can have a significant impact on an organization’s bottom line.”
InfoGrow is offering CRM SmartMap as a monthly subscription service, with no contract, for $9.75 per user, per month. It’s fully integrated with Dynamics 365/CRM and offers a cost-effective way to maximize travel dollars, improve sales call planning, and boost sales, officials said.
Xpertdoc Secures CAD $2.285 Million Funding from BDC Capital
Xpertdoc Technologies Inc., a Microsoft Gold Partner and provider of customer communications management solutions (CCM), has secured CAD $2.285 million (US $1.725 million) in funding from BDC Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).
BDC Capital’s financing has enabled Xpertdoc to invest $500,000 in the construction of a new building as well as attract and retain the best IT professionals, according to company officials. One of the fastest growing companies in Canada in 2016, Xpertdoc has sustained a 40 percent growth year-over-year for six consecutive years.
The financing also allowed Xpertdocs to set up a Cooperative of Employee Shareholders whereby Xpertdoc employees were able to purchase 16 percent of the company’s shares to become minority shareholders, officials stated.
“We have strong growth potential and plan to hire close to 100 high-technology specialists within three years,” said Francis Dion, CEO and founder of Xpertdoc, in a statement. “Our team of 50 highly qualified professionals is working hard toward achieving our goal of doubling our revenue from $ 5 million to $ 10 million in two years, now propelled by the additional funding from BDC.
