Salesforce Named #1 CRM Provider for Sixth Consecutive Year

Salesforce increased its market share in 2018 by more percentage points than the rest of the top 15 CRM vendors combined

SAN FRANCISCO— May 7, 2019—Salesforce [NYSE: CRM], the global leader in CRM, today announced that for the sixth consecutive year it has been named the #1 CRM provider by International Data Corporation (IDC) in its latest Worldwide Semiannual Software Tracker. Salesforce grew its overall market share position and increased its revenue more than any other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) vendor. In fact, Salesforce increased its market share in 2018 by more percentage points than the rest of the top 15 CRM vendors combined.

“Companies of every size and industry are transforming how they operate in the digital age—and those transformations begin and end with the customer,” said Alex Dayon, president and chief strategy officer, Salesforce. “As the latest IDC Tracker shows, Salesforce’s relentless focus on delivering CRM innovation and customer success has fueled our growth worldwide, and solidified our leadership in the market that we pioneered 20 years ago.”

In addition to being the #1 CRM provider worldwide, Salesforce is also the #1 market share leader for CRM in North America, Western Europe and Asia-Pacific (including Japan).

We track every new Microsoft Dynamics 365 and NetSuite job posting across North America, every single day, and October gave us the clearest read yet on where this market is actually heading. The short version is that ERP hiring cooled about 11% from September. That headline is true, and it is also misleading. Almost the entire drop sits in the Dynamics implementation tracks, while NetSuite held flat and demand for senior, in-house talent stayed strong. Whether this market feels soft or busy right now depends entirely on which role you are trying to fill. I pulled the full track by track breakdown into this month’s DynamicsFocus Recruiting Report, and it is attached below. If you have a role that has been sitting open since the summer, I would genuinely love to hear what you have tried so far and am more than happy to schedule a 30 minute Teams call to share potential strategies to rectify the situation, no strings attached. #MicrosoftDynamics #D365 #Dynamics365 #NetSuite #ERP #NetSuiteRecruiting #MicrosoftDynamicsRecruiting #TalentMarket #Hiring #AIAgents
