Global manufacturer Primo rings in its 60th year in operation with IFS Applications in the cloud

IFS cloud solution to help plastics manufacturer digitalize key business processes across its production sites in Europe and Asia

IFS, the global enterprise applications company, announces that the Primo Group, an international manufacturer of plastic profiles, has chosen IFS Applications™ 10 in the cloud to unify all mission-critical business processes in one comprehensive and user-friendly solution.

Primo is a global company that specializes in developing and producing extruded profiles from plastic and composite materials for industries such as life sciences, transportation, construction, offshore, energy, power and lighting, among others.

As a growing business with production sites in eight countries worldwide, Primo needed to replace its legacy business system with a comprehensive solution that could support its entire value chain, from back-office financials to shop floor planning and reporting.

Following a competitive evaluation process, Primo selected IFS Applications.

IFS Applications will help Primo digitalize several critical business processes, including estimation and quote management, driving quicker turn-around times and a faster time to market. Other vital capabilities are advanced product planning, project management, shop order scheduling, and total quality management (TQM). The IFS solution will be deployed on the IFS Managed Cloud across the group’s sites in China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Poland, Russia, and Sweden.

“We needed a solution that could support all aspects of our complex production, help us drive sales through reduced lead times, and provide full integration with financials and CRM,” said Marika Solgård-Olli, ERP Manager, Primo. “Featuring a modern and user-friendly user experience, IFS Applications ticked all of these boxes and a few more, giving us the confidence that IFS is a business partner that we can rely on as we continue to grow.”

Elni Kullmer, IFS Managing Director, Nordics, added, “Forward-looking businesses are realizing that modernizing their business systems is the fastest and most reliable way to ensure they lead the competition and successfully reach business goals. By focusing on specific processes, bottlenecks can be eliminated with sensible solutions that empower all users to be agents of positive change. We are thrilled to welcome Primo to our growing community of customers in the manufacturing sector and we look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership.”
